When the snow was here it was no bike time for me and I left the car on the drive most of the time as the wide wheels and ESP it is pretty hopeless but possible.
Thought I would look around for some chains that maybe of some use. WOW Less than 10 miles away in the next village is an importer/stockist. Can you believe that. I can't find what I once had though ![]() They were made with 2 flexible straps and a set of linked flat metal bars turned over at the edges for placing over the tyre. Unlike chains they were flat where they were in contact with the tyres. Brilliant

Saw some snow chains in use yesterday on a vehicle at the supermarket.
Mind you, it did not improve there parking or the many attempts of getting out of a parking bay.
